Great News for Student Visas

The Australian Government have just released a long awaited report - Strategic Review of the Student Visa Program 2011, also known as the Knight Review.

The report contains 41 recommendations which will:

1. Relax international student visa requirements and make it much easier/faster for students to obtain a student visa.

- For example, students from China will be assessed as level 1 country if they enrol in any courses or packaged courses with an university degree.

2. Make it much easier for international students to work and stay in Australia-

- For example, students can have between 2-4 years of working rights in Australia after graduation and it would be open to students stuyding an university degree for any discipline.
