The Importance of English Classes
As an international student studying in Australia, it is very important for students to have a competent level of English before commencing further studies in tertiary programs.
Many students, although having passed the IELTS requirements for their course, have found some difficulties in their studies. This has resulted in poor marks and some students have also failed their courses.
Students are reminded that the IELTS requirements for a course is only a minimum requirement. It is important for students to truly develop a competent level of English before starting further studies. This includes English in all areas including writing, listening and speaking.
From past experience, it is best for students to study a sufficient amount of English classes, especially for students who have never been to an English speaking society like Australia. The necessary amount of English classes will, of course, depend on the individual and our ACIC consultants will be happy to advise you on the most suitable amount.
It is better to study a few more weeks of English, than to fail an important course later. This can save you both time and money!
