UOW/UTS Wins Top Teaching Award

Under the 2008 Learning and Teaching Performance Fund awarded by the Australian government, the University of Wollongong (UOW) and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) were the only two universities to make the top A1 band for all four discipline categories of the Fund.

This places UOW and UTS as equal first in the country for learning and teaching performance. The award looks at data including the percentage of students in full-time work, the percentage of graduates going on to further full-time study, pass rates, dropout rates, and direct feedback from students.

This is an excellent result especially for UOW as it was also ranked number one when the Performance fund first started in 2005.
