UWA moves up in the world rankings
The University of Western Australia has climbed five places in the Academic Ranking of World Universities to be placed 91st in the world.
The result, announced mid-August by the independent Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, confirms UWAs reputation as one of Australias-and the worlds - top tertiary education institutions.
This result follows an improvement of nine places in the QS rankings, which were released earlier this year, and has been reinforced by Septembers Times Higher Education rankings, in which UWA increased its standing by 14 places to 111th in the world.
At UWA, the university is preparing its graduates for the jobs of the future-but they are also in demand for the jobs of today! The Good Universities Guide 2018 released in August shows UWA graduates earned an average starting salary of AU$60,900, well above the Australian average of AU$56,000. This is the second highest in Australia.
