Chi-Ya huang from taiwan, ACIC student, 2005
The Dream After working in the media industry for more than ten years, Chi-Ya wanted to experience a simpler lifestyle. She decided to study in Sydney and her first goal was to improve her English. Her second goal was to obtain a MBA in Australia.
The Difficulties Because Chi-Ya was a college graduate, many supporting materials were needed to prepare her application for a MBA degree.
The Process Chi-Ya first learnt about ACIC through the internet. She then visited ACICs Taichung office, where she met one of our consultants, Ms Lai.
After talking with Ms Lai, Chi-Ya developed a greater understanding and a high level of trust about ACIC and its services. However, studying overseas is a major decision and being the only girl in the family, Chi-Ya had to assure her parents that ACIC is a decent company. In the end, with the assistance of ACIC, her parents were convinced that ACIC is both reliable and trustworthy that really looks after their students.
Due to ACICs experience, ACIC was able to advise Chi-Ya of all the necessary supporting materials required for her MBA application. This saved Chi-Ya lots of time and effort. It also led to her successful enrolment in her desired MBA program.
The Outcome Although Chi-Ya admits that it was hard work studying, she is proud to have successfully achieved both of her initial goals. She has significantly improved her English and graduated with a MBA degree.
Chi-Ya has since applied for further studies through ACIC. She intends to study a Master degree with majors in translation/interpretation and international marketing. She also applied for a doctorate course in business management. At present, Chi-Ya has already received an offer for the Master degree and is waiting for the assessment of application for the doctorate course.
The comment from the student
I would like to express my strong appreciation for ACICs help, from my initial application to receiving my MBA degree. I found it was difficult to handle so many things related to living in a foreign and unfamiliar place. Fortunately, ACIC provided me with so much help and valuable advice, just like neighbourhood brothers and sisters.
I would like to take this opportunity to especially thank Mr. Song and his sister Yi Jing, Ms. Lai, Nalumi, and Kitty. I was so grateful to ACIC for their kind help. Mr. Song and Ms. Lai are not only my consultants, but also my good friends now as I could deeply feel their sincerity.
