Flora Yin from China, ACIC Student, 2009

The Dream

To obtain a Permanent Residence (PR) in Australia.

The Difficulties

The application process for PR is complicated and can often be time-consuming. Yet, Flora wanted to get her PR granted in the shortest possible time.

The Process

Flora came to Australia 4 years ago to study. She first completed foundation studies, followed by a Bachelor degree in accounting. During the last semester, she took the IELTS test and successfully obtained 7 or above across all bands. It was at this time that Flora thought about applying for PR.

As she heard that the application process can be complicated and was afraid it will be delayed if she doesn't complete all the steps accurately, Flora choose to seek help from ACIC's migration agent, Eric WU.

Eric advised Flora on each and every step of the application process including things such as professional assessment and police checks. All Flora needed to do was to provide all the documents that were required and Eric was able to follow up everything for her.

The Outcome

Following Eric's advice and instructions, Flora's PR application was lodged on one Thursday night. Initially, she thought it will take a long time although she was high on DIAC's priority list. Thankfully, due to the correct documentations and follow up by Eric, the PR visa was granted the following Wednesday morning. It took only 4 working days.

The Comment from the Student

IWith reference to my successful case, thanks to Eric as he is so conservative and never promises too much. But I know he did his job so well. Everyone knows PR is a big opportunity. Thank you to ACIC and Eric to let me have that opportunity so fast.
