Julia has been an international student herself, having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Administrative Studies York University (Canada) in 1993 and a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from The University of Sydney in 2001. She has lots of personal experience in studying and living overseas that she can share with students including advantages, opportunities and challenges that students may have.
Apart from her studies, Julia has also accumulated many years of work experience in different management positions across a variety of sectors including education, hospitality and government. She had previously worked in Australia with ACIC’s head office as the Director’s Assistant. As such, she has first-hand experience in both studying and working in Australia. More recently, Julia has worked for the Macao SAR government, providing high level support to the President of the Judiciary on administrative and public relations matters. With her extensive work experiences dealing with high ranking officials and her human resource background, Julia is able to offer students valuable insights into study/career planning and what employers are seeking in the job market.
Julia is now back working with ACIC as ACIC’s Chief Representative in Macao. Her dream is to use her experience to help more and more young people to go to Australia to fulfill their dreams like her!
