Macquarie University has again performed exceptionally well in the 2021 QS World University Rankings by Subject, with 14 subjects ranked in the top 150 in the world.

As a result of these rankings, Macquarie is now ranked first in Australia for Classics and Ancient History, second nationally for Philosophy and third for Linguistics. One of top performing subjects included Computer Science which climbed over 100 places to rank in the top 200.

Macquarie Business School saw several subjects rise in the global rankings, with Accounting and Finance now at 84th in the world, Business and Management and Economics both moving into the top 200.
