The QS World University Rankings by Subject was released in March and QUT continues to rank in the top 50 in the world for the following subjects:

• 1st in Australia for Media and Communication and 19th in the world
• 6th in Australia for Nursing and 30th in the world
• 9th in Australia for Mineral and Mining Engineering and 42nd in the world

QUT also ranked in the top 100 for Architecture and Built Environment, Sports Related subjects and Art and Design.
