RMIT University Still in Priority 1 for Visa Processing – Act Early

RMIT University remains in Priority 1 (High) under Ministerial Direction 111 (MD111), meaning student visa applications linked to RMIT continue to receive high-priority processing. However, due to continued strong demand, we anticipate reaching the prioritisation threshold by late April 2025, after which applications will move to Priority 2 (Standard)—potentially leading to longer and less predictable visa processing times. To ensure students have the best chance of securing their visa on time, we strongly encourage them to:

  1. Apply as early as possible to secure their place at RMIT.
  2. Accept their offer promptly to ensure a faster visa processing.

With Semester 2 filling fast, early action will help students avoid delays and commence their studies at RMIT with confidence.
