University of Wollongong student Leon Davis-Cook, 19, has been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 World University Winter Games in Torino, Italy.

Leon will travel to Europe in the New Year ready to compete in the Games, from 13 to 26 January. Participation in the Games is self-funded by the athletes and Leon is fund-raising to pay his way there.

A Snowboard Cross athlete, Leon has represented Australia for the past two years on the Europa Cup circuit and was a member of the Snow Australia Emerging Talent program. He recently completed his first year of a Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences (Honours) (Dean’s Scholar)
