UNSW Sydney and UNSW College have reaffirmed their strong commitment to supporting international pathway students through the UNSW College Award (PUCA1027) for the upcoming 2027 intakes. Under this initiative, international students who successfully complete a UNSW Foundation Studies program (either in Sydney or offshore) and commence full-time undergraduate coursework study at UNSW in 2027 will be automatically considered for a $10,000 tuition fee scholarship for their first year. Furthermore, eligible pathway students transitioning to UNSW can also benefit from the broader International Student Award, which provides a generous 20% contribution towards tuition fees for the full duration of their degree program.
These substantial financial incentives significantly lower the cost barrier for international students aiming to enter a prestigious Group of Eight (Go8) university. Because the UNSW College Award does not require a separate scholarship application and is automatically assessed upon receiving a UNSW admission offer, students can enjoy a streamlined and stress-free progression from their pathway program to their bachelor’s degree. This financial support allows students to focus wholeheartedly on their academic transition and campus life in Sydney.
With the key scholarship round for Term 1, 2027 closing on 30 October 2026, and quotas for popular UNSW pathway programs filling up rapidly, timing is critical. To qualify for the Term 1 round, applicants must hold a valid offer of admission prior to the cut-off date. We strongly advise prospective students to finalize their UNSW College pathway applications or UNSW progression offers immediately to secure their seats and maximize their scholarship opportunities.
